I used to cut across 460 from Highway 5 to 101 when driving back from LA to SF so I could go by Cholame and cruise by the spot where Dean was killed. They haven't done much to fix the intersection.
They've got a memorial just down the road. Usually a bunch of japanese tourists hanging out. As a matter of fact, a giftshop across the street stocks memorabilia written primarily in Japanese and French. The French idolize Dean(nation of fudge packers)
