    I just let them swell up until they fall off. It won't hurt anything unless it is in front and starts to obstruct your vision.

    I get them all the time out wandering in the timber. Just yank it out,pinch the skin so you pull of a tiny bit of your skin to make sure you get the head.

    I hate that when it it happens. I would do an alcohol patch on it till some gets home to yank it out.
