Question for Colt SAA Experts & Aficionado's

There are a couple Colt SAA's on the auction side that have import stamps and import compliant cylinder pins.

Any word on the history of these guns? Prices seem almost reasonable.

Examples:

$1499.99

I have no idea, but what's a "import compliant cylinder pin"?

Don't any of these revolvers have a maker's name on them? My two SAA's do. My Second Generation says Colt, my imported one says Uberti.

No expert, but it sounds to me like the pistols were purchased and then exported. To make them compliant in their new home countries they were fitted with a cylinder pin which, when the hammer was placed at half-cock, could be pushed in to lock the hammer as a (sort of) positive safety. I seem to remember some of the ASA and Uberti SAs imported by EMF having the same sort of pin-safety, which was not popular to the point that guys would replace them with Colt pins.

    This is just a guess.
