Went to buy an upper in 5.45x39, but

Went to a gunshow today to look for an ar upper in 5.45 to take advantage of the very cheap ammo. I didn't see any, but I know there is a show coming up that will have distributors that will have them. I have looked around, and have seen them for about $550 on the internet. So I did the next best thing, bought a Bulgarian AK-74 for $400 out the door. Saved money on ammo, and saved money buying something to shoot it in too, not to mention saving wear and tear on a lower, and finding mags that actually work.

It came with three mags and the bayonet too. I hope it shoots as good as the last one.

I've read good things about those CAI Bulgarian 5.45's.

Only neg is the lower forearm may melt more than usual with rapid fire. You might check to see if there is a metal heat shield in it.

If you have one you should be good to go. If not check K-var.com for one.
