Since I got "retired" almost three years ago,I've just been doin' whatever I can find to do to make a buck mostly.
Been balin' hay the last few months,but with the dry weather we've had this spring and summer(not much out there) and the cost of fuel (farm diesel was $4.32 a couple of weeks ago[V]),it's been pretty tough to come out on it.
But I'll survive somehow.[;)]

Actually, we went through Taylor just to have lunch at Louie Mueller's; my wife saw them on one of the cooking shows and we had to try it! It was well worth the drive.
How's Rudy Mikeska's? We've eaten at Clem Mikeska's in Temple, Texas when we lived there in the mid 70's and at Jerry Mikeska's in Columbus, Texas I believe during one of our trips between Baton Rouge and San Diego. However, we still haven't eaten at Rudy Mikeska's in Taylor, maybe next trip!

Good to see ya back. That hat you sent me lo these many years back, is still my favorite. Gettin' a little grungy cuz I got caught using the dishwasher last year so that's off limits now.[:D] And that gorgeous Case knife is still one boy's treasure. Ya ain't been forgotten here.

When we retired and came back to Texas a couple of years ago we took a trip down to Austin and in the process went by Clem Mikeska's and discovered it wasn't what we remembered food wise (not very good), but the place was exactly the same.
