Last week I borrowed a quote form rldowns and had it printed on my checks[:D], he has since told me he did not have a copyright on it[:)]. I picked it because I thought it made a great point and was funny. I also got to thinking, "What is everyones favorite quote from another GB member??" Some are plain funny, some serious and some definitely words of wisdom. Also, how did you pick your own quote? The day I got my job in corrections, my friends took me to dinner. We had chinese and mine was what was in my fortune cookie. I must have be destined for this line of work[:D]

PRZNCOP110: I dont have just one that comes to mind. Some change thiers every so often and they are pretty cool and make you think.

Your fits you perfectly,[^] being a corrections officer and all.

when I decided upon the one that I use, I was thinking about all the troops and what would bring peace to them, in the quickest way possible.

My quote in my profile is something I heard a long time ago, and never really seemed to take to heart[:D][B)][:0]

My quote on my sig is from a bumber sticker I saw, but ended up being true - when I got rid of my first wife she left one of her guns behind![:)][}:)]

My favorite here, though, has to be Kingjoey's spoof of the mastercard commercial when he was hammering PBS[:p], and for the life of me I can't find that thread to copy and save it![:(!]

Got a new gun for my ex-wife.....pretty good trade, huh?

Several good 'uns here for sure. Don't know without givin' it more thought who's is the most impressive.

    Been thinking of adding:

"Like most fools, I consider myself fairly intelligent!" Kinda goes with the little green smiley I favor so much. [^]

On that I'll leave for the day. Goin' bass fishin', see ya tomorrow.

I am personally rather fond of mine.

There is a couple I really like ... some even kinda fit me [V] ...
... like the one by wundudnee: quote:Old? First you forget names; then you forget faces; then you forget to pull your zipper up; then you forget to pull your zipper down.

This is one of my favorites but I don't remember who's signature it is [B)]
I had this same realization back when I turned 40:quote:The most important things in life aren't "things"

And finally mine, It's from a Segall movie, and I can't remember the name of it either ... its the one where the bad guys were controlling a satellite from a train and they couldn't be tracked as long as they were moving:quote:Chance favors the prepared mind [8D]

I forget whos this is but I like this one,

I think you mean ridowns3's "Your life is not my fault."

Which is one of my favorites. I like mudge's too (if I remember it correctly): "I can't come to work today, the voices in my head say, 'stay home and clean the guns'."

rldowns3 has a pretty good one...."Your life is not my fault."

Always like seeing what juju has to put at the bottom of his posts, you know, juju (the prepared), or juju (always prudent), or whatever fits the previous statements in his posts. I think mudge does this also.

"If you ain't got pictures...", came about to avoid being included in lawsuits that named "John Does 1 thru 25". We had a certain Sgt. that liked to do things that did turn out to be lawsuits, so to preclude being named in these suits I would copy the schedule, copy my patrol log ect. to show that I was not there.
In the end I made a couple of tapes of converstations, together with pictures, and the Sgt resigned. Problem solved.
