Walmart surprise

Went to the local Wallymart today with the wife and figured I check ammo prices, as I neared the firearm display cases I noticed there were rifles in there!

As I got closer I realized they put the air rifles in the display cases...[:(][:(]

Guess that's a sight I'll never see again...rifles for sale at Wallymart.[:(!]

The Walmart here still sells rifles and shotguns but everytime I go and look at them I start getting ticked and I don't know why. Maybe it is their attitude toward gun owners and their dumb policies, or maybe it is because I have been to Walmart whses and have seen the evil side of them, either way I am losing respect for Wallyworld in a big hurry.

The stores we go to here in "West-by-God" and in VA still sell everything except handguns.
We've almost stopped going to Wally-World though because they're always crowded and the aisles are only one cart wide because of all the s--t they have stacked in them.

They still sell long guns here in Washington. I bought one gun from Wally and I'll never buy another. They treat you like a criminal.

Last Jan. the wife and I went there and bought a 22 for the kid for her birthday. Well the gal at the gun counter fills out the paper work, then calls to the stock room at the back of the store to have the rifle brought up. This takes about 15 minutes, but hey, we're in no hurry so it's no big deal. Once the gun arrives she now has the serial number and can complete the paper work. After she is all done she calls the store manager(I think) over. He looks at my drivers license then gives me the evil eye then back at my dl. He completes this cycle about 3 or 4 times and checks the serial number and paper work about 3 or 4 times. He then takes the rifle in the box and escorts us to the front door, where he gives us possession of the gun. All this to save $40.00-$50.00. No more. I learned my lesson.

Why is it that every month or so someone will bash WalMart because they didnt have the ammo they needed or they were looked at the wrong way or they were escorted out with the gun(BIG DEAL!!) THEY ARE NOT A GUN SHOP! for gods sakes.Every store is different with different people working there with different personalitys, like any other store.Be very glad they still sell guns/ammo and supplys and havent caved in like most other dept stores have.Seems to me they are ON OUR SIDE! Rant over[;)]

My local Wally World (Northern Calif) still sells ammo. It is my understanding they got in trouble with ATF, which has caused them to pull the guns.

Walmart in Oneonta and Cobleskill NY stocked with rifles, shotguns, and a good selection of ammo. Local gun shop is a BIT more costly, but well worth the money for the hardware, ammo is where Walmart shines.

They still sell ammo in the USSR of California. But they are still training all of their employes to sell firearms.

Pointer; some get ticked off at Walmart just because their stores are doing so well. I to have been a little upset with them on occasion but its because they sold out of a certain item, not they never had it.

Walmart stores escort all who buy firearms at their stores out of them, its store policy and it done by a person of management.

Some of the store associates are not up on the gun/ammo sales side of it. They are filling in for the ones who do. You can see why some think that all at Walmart are ignorant to how to help people looking for some certain ammo or other firearm related item. THEY HAVENT A CLUE WHAT YOU WANT.
I agree that we should give these people a break.

I too am glad that they still do sell longguns and ammo.

They have a sale on a certain type of shotgun shell that I want so I drive down there and they have three boxes. 75 lousy shells! I said I wanted two cases of 20's ,2 of 16's,2 of 28's and four in 12 gauge. The guy looked at me like I was a lunatic and tells me they only get them in at a case at a time. Then it was my turn to look at him like he was a lunatic except in my case I was accurate.
