Did anybody watch this movie on TCM last night? Rod Steiger and James Coburn. The movie was kind of cheesy in a few places, but it had some neat old guns in it.
My favorite was when a policeman pulled a 1911 Steyr pistol on Rod Steiger.
In another scene, they shoot up a convoy with tripod mounted machine guns. One was a water cooled Maxim (I think) fed by cloth belt which would be period correct (around 1914 or 1915), but the gun that Coburn was shooting looked a lot like a MG42 (air cooled, metal link belt).
Anybody who saw it - what was the machine gun that Coburn was shooting if it wasn't a MG42??
