    at first I thought it was just because of summer prices, but then they kept going up...we are up about 90 cents from november in my area.

    Another thing the buttheads on wallstreet are messing with.Bush tried to make things better with offshore drilling but our current POS is against it.

    Do a search for "Off Shore Drilling" in the topics. Kristov has several posts explaining the cost/benefit of certain types of drilling. It's not worth doing until oil hits 100 a barrel. Oil remains effected by economic influences that drive the commodity markets.

    And the brokers speculate on what? That's right, the economic data released monthly. Several of the regulations that were removed prior to oils run up were instituted, so not everyone and their dog can just "buy" oil now.
