    salad filler?
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

Not peas they are some kind of bean similar in shape to a Lima bean but smaller at least at this point and they are an off white color. About 7 inches long at this point.

+1. Sweet peas. Used to call'em "shelly-beans" back in the day.
See if U can get more to "come thru the fence"!!
Great raw in salads, even better with a little chix stock and butter,in a sauce pan..Cook till just tender.(of course, shell first)

Is there some reason you can't ask the neighbor?

Probably pole beans and they've gone to seed. There are hundreds of varieties and couldn't pinpoint it down

It does look like a tenderpod or a blue lake 274, but they produce white seeds when young. Blue lake does come as a pole bean also. You can dry them out in the shell and plant them next year.

Right now now they will be stringy and tough to chew on.

Was going to say you have to open it to see. And you have. Did they come from a vine or bush? There are so many different kinds of beans. White beans maybe? I never grew that kind so I can't say exactly.

Since they are coming through the fence I'm thinking vine.

Sorry they just started coming through the fence recently. Didn't even know they were there until last Saturday.

Yep, not sure about them being Blue lake or not. But their green beans. Good eating.

They're just green beans. Cook them with some bacon or ham, and a few potato's. When they're young and tender. After they've go to that stage, about all you can do is let them dry, and shell them, cook them like you would pinto beans. Takes an awful lot of them to go very far, though.
