Primer help

Long story short,
I have a friend in the movie Memorabilia business. He is working on a project doing 500 framed "Scare Face"
Posters with two 9mm rounds in each corner.
He wants me to make 1000 rounds but they need to be inert. I told him the primers are the only issue (Which he knows) so the question is.
How can I make 1000 primers permantly inert (With the unfired look)
I was thinking 24 hours of soaking in cheap cooking oil?
