Power is on

We just got our power back on
a few minutes back.
We lost it Saturday nite at 8:15.

Of course my Generator wouldn't work
and both of my chain saws as well.
After breaking the cord on my Generator,
I got that fixed and drained the gas,
put new gas in and the blue gas additive.
So it must have been very bad gasoline.

And then of course the carb bleed screw
vibrated out and 6 gallons of gas leaked
into the soil of the back yard 50ft away
from the beaver pond.

Oh did I tell you, that for years, at the end
of the season I always poured my 2 cycle gas
into my rangers with out ever a problem.
I did the same with this old stale brown looking
gas. They just towed away my Ranger downtown to
the repair garage[:(]

Rong I hate to sound RUDE.BUT todays gas is not like your Grand Father's Gas. The shelf life of the crap shoved upon the public.
Because it will save the World. is about 45 days . You need to take a course in small engine maintenance. leave gas in a tank with no petcock to turn off supply for 6 months and 96% chance you will need to pull CARB apart to get engine running. leave 2Cycle Mixed gas in a saw over 45 days 90% chance you will also need to pull Carb apart.

EDITYes products like StaBil or Seafoam does help but just adds to the cost and does not CURE the problem. It is the CORN that has varnish in it . South America use fuel made from sugar cane and this does not have same problem. The small engine makers are soon to file a class action law suit. I hope they win.

It sucks, don't it. I've had gas turn to jello in under 30 days before in one of my dirt bikes.

    Stabil is your friend.

It goes into the tank with the gas in the boat, the generator, the chainsaw and T-bird each time and every time. Have never had a problem with old gas once doing this.

Karl, I was starting the generator up
once a month (the gas has additive) and
let the unit run for an hour or so while
    I did a couple chores.
Then I would shut the supply off and let the gas
in the carb run out, choke her some more until
    that run out.
The gen is only 3 yrs old but I think the gas gauge
is letting water rain water in,but the fuel in
the tank -I tell ya looked red rusty.
    And you're not being rude.
BTW ,I haven't had a hiccup from my kimber
    after conversing with you.
    Goes bang every time.
    Thanks-Ron
