Ammo Porn!

Visited a local estate sale today...

I HIT THE MOTHERLOAD!!! Old man kept this ammo stored in his barn, no doors, no security. Just sitting uptop some file cabinets in plain sight. This bababooey never happens to me, but it did today. I am on my way to buy lotto tickets next!

Here is what I left with:

I don't know if you can read the ammo cans, but the two on the bottom are full 5.56 bandoliers (stripper clips). The can on the top left is full of 30 rnd magazines (loaded). The ammo can on the right is full of military surplus .45's boxes are mint condition complete with lot #s.

The grey boxes, the one on the right is full of 5.56 brass (seems to weigh about 10-12 pounds). The grey box in the center is full of every type of .22 bullet you can imagine. From shotshells to bulk packs, mostly CCI ammo. The grey box on the left is full of blazer aluminium 9mm ammo, except for 3 bx of winchester. 16 boxes total.

(Note the price tag on the 9mm)

The brown box the grey boxes are on is a case of South African 5.56 battle packs. There was 6 of the 9 batle packs in it.

Anyone care to venture to guess what I paid for this lot? I asked, and his wife said, Gosh, I don't know. We sold the guns yesterday. (Yeah, I thought a few choice words too but I kept them in my head!) She said what would be a fair price and I told her, maam, I can't afford the fair price for all this. She smile and said I have no use for it, make me an offer. I said maam, I have $207 in my wallet, take what you think is fair. She smiled and said a $100 will do.

I said a $100? For all of it? She said yes, you obviously want or need it. I have no use for it, and you do. I think my husband would have approved someone like you having this.

I told her I feel bad, this is worth a lot of money and she replied he doesn't need the money anymore.

I asked if I could take a few pics and she said it was ok. I got these pics and got the hell out of dodge!!!

Hmm, that is tempting... Let me mull it over awhile. :)

I honestly felt as if I was stealing. to be honest. But she could have taken all my cash or worse, said no thanks.

A giveaway? Interesting, I should think this in more detail...

That stuff is pretty old. Send some to me and I'll be glad to help you out and test fire it in my guns. [:D][:D][:D]

Many years ago ran across an old man selling off a bunch of 6.5 X 55 Swede in battle packs. Mildly corrosive FMJ military stuff from Sweden. $50. Took me 2 trips to carry it all to the truck. Don't remember the exact count but it was almost 1000 rounds. Still got about half of it. Too darn bad I lost my rifle in the lake.
