If you have never taken Soma, try taking it at home, no machinery, especially driving, and see how it effects you before driving.
It may make you sleepy or drowsey if you're not used to it, does neither to me...[;)]
Generic for Soma, a strong muscle relaxer.

It was prescribed for sleep. I am to take 1 at bedtime. I've taken Flexeril which made me very sleepy.
I wouldnt take it and stay up or it may not work, take it and lay down and you may be good to go.
Flexeril is like baby aspirin compared to Soma, so the Soma should work for you, nighty night...[;)]
Soma brings big bucks on the street, heroin addicts like it, Soma is a "downer", heroin is a "downer".
Dope dealers use Soma to cut heroin with because they can stretch the heroin and since the Soma is a "downer" they can cut the heroin and not cut the "effects" of the heroin as much...[;)]
My interns and residents are not allowed to rx it.

Ive taken it for 10 years off and on.
I might take it for 6 months, 2-3 a day, and not take it again for 6 months.
Ive taken it for a year 2-3 a day, then not taken it for a year or longer, no cravings, no thought of it, no ill effects, all the while with a bottle full in the med cabinet, so how should I be feeling? How many a day and how long should I take it to become addicted?
Im curious, what effects of addiction should I be feeling that I am not? I have blood work done to check liver enzymes (whatever) every 6 months for all the heart/pain meds I take and exstensive blood work for my Cardioligist twice a year also, nada, zip...[;)]
The most addicting rx drug of the 50s and 60s.
Soma metabolizes to meprobamate after taken.
About as addicting as Valium, but not as much as Xanax.

My PAC said it is not addicting. He said it is very similar to Flexeril in what it does and depending on how I responded to it, he'd either keep me on it or change to Flexeril.
Heck,......I just wait until I get tired enough to sleep, and get what I can.

Thanks for the reply, info, dont take either of those, so dont know squat about them.
I took what you said as to say they were almost as addictive as Heroin, which I know is not the case and I didnt want anyone else to get scared off thinking the same if taking them helped.
Thank God too...I was getting worried I might get a sudden urge to start selling all my Colts so I could buy some...especially since Ive stopped my armed robberies to pay for them, the house burglaries just dont pay as much...[8D]

I don't know what a PAC is but they are wrong.
Look it up in the PDR or on the DEA site.
It is the third most requested rx drug by druggies.
There is a reason.

I use Soma 3 times a day, when needed. I dont have any problems not taking them. If it is so addictive why do I get so many refills on the RX? My Demerol cant get a refill.
