4 kids at the range- I have a headache! LOL!

Everything went very smoothly. Started out one at a time with the Browning A-Bolt Stainless Stalker in .243. My youngest hit the dead center twice at 100 yards. Justin is 10! All the others hit well.
Moved on to the Winchester .30/30, that I prepared some handloaded 8 grains of Trail Boss, and a 170 gr Lyman cast bullet. Shot great with minimal recoil. Went thru all 50 rounds and had a great time with it at 100 yards shooting the gong.

Moved down the line and my kids took turns with the Sig and Ruger in 9mm, hitting well at 7 yards. Went thru 90 rounds of handloaded fun.
We practiced clearing jams- gun worked perfect, but I instructed the drill anyway.

Moved over to the 50 yard pig sillouette and uncased the Ruger 10-22.
Unloaded 250 rounds from the bench, in turns, then I had them sling up and shoot from a standing position, until the 550 count box was empty.
Perfect weather and just got the kids fed and watered.

I'm looking for a BC powder! Going again on Friday since I am closing up shop for a long weekend. Can't wait to go again!
Wish I had my camera!
Tonight, I start reloading the cases for Friday's session.

Now that sounds like a good time, and also sounds like you have a good range to shoot at. Do I understand that the 10 year-old shot the handguns as well? Way to go with the coaching.

So these were all your own kids, and they actually listened to you? Miracles do happen![:)]

3 of the kids are mine and we brought a neighbor kid along. They all listen good. Yes, all of my kids started young on the .22 rifles and have progressed to the .243 and the .270's. My kids run big according to their age BTW. "Cept for the daughter.

All of them shoot the 9mm well at 7 to 15 yards. We have a nice range and shoot at the family farm a lot. I like the 200 yard range.

My youngest is deadly with the heavy Ruger M77 at 200 yards. His eyes work better than mine! I have seen him hit the 10" gong at 200 like it's no big deal.
My daughter is doing well with the Sig, knocking down the metal plates at 35 yards. She's 17 now, and has been shooting since she was 4, like all of them.
