Dachshund longhair that is. This is my second. Picked him up at the SPCA Friday. 5 plus years old. 14+ pounds (he's overweight for this type of dog) will have to get him down to 11 pounds if possible.

    Good looking dog. Get at least one more, that way, they can entertain eachother all day[;)]

    Well, Actually this is the second one. The lady at the SPCA asked if I was interested in another also. I declined, but did consider it seriously.

    Cute little guy. Yes, I would say with their propensity for back problems, the lighter the better.

    My late uncle Bill in WI had one that would sit in front of him and beg for cheese every night. Uncle Bill would say "on the ache" (I know little German) and the dog would sit down on it rather than balance on his hind legs like most dogs do when begging.

    Pretty tough trick for a dog that long.
