... and pay attention to where you are going:

That was just a few seconds from being a Darwin Award.

It still could have been, if he had an unlucky encounter with a bear, given how far away he ended up from where he was supposed to be.

I watched most of it, and then got "blue screen of death."

I'm not gonna try it again.
    What happened at the end?

They were flying in the "seated" position, I have not seen that before.

While he was filming the other people (with a helmet cam i think, so he was simply looking at them), they all went spread eagle and deployed their chutes, and of course, relative to the camera, went shooting up above him.

The camera view turns as you see a mountain peak go shooting up above the horizon, and his shadow on the cliff face, as his parachute opens and he decelerates.
He opens so low, in less than 15 seconds hes on a grassy slope leading to some beautiful mountain lake, no road access anywhere in sight, you hear him let out a "whew", and the video ends.

1 more second of delaying, and he probably would have smacked into the mountain at fatal speeds, or at least bone crushing speeds.
Deploying 2 seconds later, definitely would have killed him.

I've never heard of a youtube video causing a blue screen of death.
But then windows never fails to surprise me with how bad it is.
