Swatting incident in hometown

My contacts have added that this was a swatting incident and that there was a call to the police reporting the fake incident
The phrase assault rifle was used along with high capacity magazines
The caller new how to describe the kids as far as age and sex
May have been from a spoofed number (I don't have all the details yet)
They used firetrucks to block the egress routes and issued M4 carbines to approx 10 police officers - multiple squad cars and Leo SUV's - ambulances - a helicopter...
This went on for maybe 4-5 hours
If I hear more I will pass it on - if anyone finds a news link please post it up here

Issued M4s??? Their officers don't carry them all the time? They only issue them out for an incident?
It's New Jersey; the only ones with guns are the police armorers, and they don't trust THEM, either!
One would think the cops would run the address in question to see if they had run ins before while en route. Also they need to make sure they got the correct address before kicking in the doors.
Yosh, unless it?s an active shooter situation, all sorts of background work is done before any moves (other than to establish perimeters, etc) are made.
