glow sights for my Marlin

I have a Marlin lever action (I assume it's a model 336?? - it has no designation on the barrel other than the caliber of .30-30) that was manufactured in 1973.
Even though the frame was tapped for a scope (and came with one when the rifle was gifted to me), I want to use the factory open sites and take the rifle hunting. I'd like to upgrade to something like TruGlo, or some other variant, but I'm unsure if there are true (pun intended) replacement bold-in pieces out there. My internet searches come up with conflicting results; some say it's simple screw-in replacement, others say gunsmithing is required.
I'd like the Brain Trust here to please weigh in! TIA

They are dovetail and easy to install.
Williams fiber optic fire sights should have a variety of models that are an out of the box simple swap for your application...
