Shortly after 8 this evening, I recieved a phonecall that one of my best friends, Diann, the third angle in my oft mentioned "Terrible Triad", was rushed to the hospital via ambulance after passing out unconcious on the job. All I knew beyond that was that her heart had stopped, she was in intensive care.
I sped like he!! to the hospital. Upon arrival to the ICU waiting room, the clergyman from the hospital told us that in the ER when she arrived, she had been administered "last rites". I freaked. However her doc came out and told us that he had fitted her with a temporary pacemaker, and that he wants to put a permenent one in her tomorrow. I saw her and spoke to her, she is agitated and scared, as anyone would be under the same curcumstances, but thankfully, otherwise, her same old wise-acher self.
Di is one of those rare "innocents". A person who is so honest that she could not possibly concieve of dishonesty themselves, and so not in anyone she loves, which is one of the reasons I love her. Truly a beautiful person, mom of 3, grandmom of 2...
I love her like family (actually more than I love some of my family). She is an extaordinary and excellent person.
Please spare a second or two and think a good though for her. A prayer, a thought, it doesn't matter, it's all good... She deseves it like no one I have ever known.

seems it only gets our attention when it hits close to home, otherwise it goes for the most part, unnoticed. if only we had that same feeling for everyone in life. no reason why we shouldnt, we are all from the same father. we are all family.

it got everyones attention.
you never know when the reapers blade will swing thru your own life. thus its absolutley important to have your boarding pass in hand, paid for and stamped.
it takes the good and the bad. and like sheep, we are seperated by the shepard.
i hope she is ready to board. we were never promised eternity on earth, but eternity with GOD. rescued from death. she appears to have been spared. she should be asking herself some serious questions right about now. we all should be. help her with those questions. bring professionals to her if you can. be the friend to her she needs, so if and i say IF she leaves this earth, youll see her again. may GOD bless you and guide you. be strong and have faith that GOD is a rewarder to those that diligently seek HIM. it would appear that this is the time that seeking is very important.[^]

An update...
Di apparently did not suffer a cardiac arrest, her condition is called asistoly, which is a medical term saying her heart stopped beating for a short time. Some sort of seizure disorder is suspected, and a neurologist is consulting. A permenent pacemaker is still a probability, but people live their entire lives with pacemakers. Heck, I know a kid who had one placed when he was 5, and this year he is graduating from high school with a baseball scholarship.
She is still in ICU, but her heart is doing it's thing on it's own, meaning the temp pacemaker has not needed to "kick in". Nice to know it's there though....
