A couple of the ranges near me have a 3 second rule posted but don't enforce it unless you are just throwing lead into the wall.

With ammo the way it is now, rapid fire is a tremendous waste of resources anyway you cut it up.

When McMiller's Sportmans center was run by the Wisconsin DNR in Eagle, WI. it was the same way 1 round every 3-5 seconds max. If you had any rifle that used a magazine you were only allowed 1 round in the mag. This is the only open aired public shooting range any where near Milwaukee 40 miles away. It is still owned by the Wisconsin DNR but managed by another entity. Your still not supposed to shoot rapid fire but you can now at least have a full mag of ammo.

We have a 2 sec rule to prevent some from bumpfire incidents. 99% of the range masters could give 2 hoots, but some come to the range when it is packed and think the object of the game is to empty your 30 rd mag as fast as possible.
