    That was the first handgun I ever bought. Still one of my favorites.

    A contractor was doing some work for a neighbor. Got to know the guy. He came to the house a few months later. Asked if I wanted to buy one just like yours. Asked how much I would give. I really didn't want it, so I said $225. He said Okay. Came with Uncle Mike's holster and two boxes of Win. White Box .38 +P ammo. I put it up, never even shot it.
    The next year, we discovered some water leak damage, and one corner of the foundation was sinking (block foundation, and brick outside cracks. Insurance wouldn't pay on the foundation, or more crawl space ventilation. Contractor did it all for what the insurance paid, no deductable. He saved me probably $4000. I gave him the Ruger back, gladly.
