Have any of you guys ever seenthese? Herters Wasp Waist sonic bullets.
I don't know if I should keep them as a curio or shoot them?

    Not enough there to waste (pun intended) the development time.
    There is some, limited collector interest, but there are only a couple that I know of that are "into" the Herters stuff (and yours are fairly common among collectors).

    I will be damned!
    I have a few of those that I pulled from old/questionable 30-06 ammo. 180s and 150s.
    I've wondered for years if they were built that way in the late 40s or early 50s to try and take advantage of the "area rule" for supersonic aircraft, or if it was just a result of some kind of crimping procedure.
    Now I know.

    Load em up and have 15 cool bullets that only get used for the "kill"![8D]
