    $3.99?...OUCH.
It is still $2.69 today, but he said he will be over $3.00 with the next delivery. Only problem is, his pumps do not go over $2.99. Has to pay someone to come out and change his pumps. Will cost over $1,000.00 to do. At the rate of profit from gas, he would close down the pumps, if it wasn't so expensive to have them taken out of the ground, which is mandatory if you quit selling gas. He is between a rock and a hard place.....again. [:(]

Fox news just showed Atlanta Ga. a whopping $5.89 per gallon

    Yes that is a 5

It is better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

was 2.70 give or take a couple days ago, got it at 2.79 today before it went to 2.85. Haven't checked in the last hour or so. It might be 10 bucks a gallon right now for all I know.

I'm simply refusing to fill up. I don't care if I have to curtail my life style. I lived a year abroad without driving, and can do so here. Now granted, the hurricane causes a momentary shortage, but even without it, it has been running in the mid to high $2 range. They let it go up to $4, $5 a gallon, and people WILL start doing what I do- not buying. Actually WATCHING their consumption, and only using when needed- and suddenly oil companies will find themselves with a glut of oil.

I heard from a friend in the next town over that it jumped from $2.999 to $3.069 tonight, so I topped my tank off at $2.879. Even with my trip this weekend, that should get me through a few weeks if I am conservative about it.

The good news is that it makes my windshield replacement that's happening Friday seem slightly less painful by comparison.

Talked to the guy at the Diamond Shamrock I stop at every mornin' for coffee.

His supplier is tellin' him to expect a 10 cent increase.

    TWICE A DAY!!!

His gas was at $2.81.9 this morning.I never get gas there since he's usually one of the highest in town(got good coffee though). He also told me that the load he's workin' on now cost him $2.75.9,so it ain't like he's killin' a fat hog.

From what I've seen since yesterday,$2.69.9 is the "least expensive" in town.(notice I didn't say "cheapest")

    BTW,
I haven't "filled up" in over a month.

I find that if I just put in $10-$20 at a time,it doesn't seem to hurt as much.It also seems to make me ration it better, since it's never even half full.

All in the mind,I know, but it's just that "The more I have, the more I use".

Haven't bought gas in several weeks, when it was $1.91 a gal. Filled up my truck, still have better then half a tank plus a can of 5 gallons bought at the same price. Decided to dust off my bike, and ride my lazy AMERICAN * around for my local needs.
