Well my hunt for a sako 85 varmint in .260 has gone fruitless. Now if you guys can help me I'm looking a heavy/bull barreled rifle in .260 caliber. I have not had much success hunting one down....Please no Remington I already have a couple of those and would like something different.

Cartod is correct the 300 Ultra sold for about $400 in mint condition. You should be able to pick up a good used Remington 700, Winchester model 70, or even a Ruger model 77 for the smith to work with. Have him put on a barrel from a good maker (he can suggest some), work out the proper twist rate for the pills you want to throw and have it done.
