I always liked the SS396. Toss a couple 94# bags of Portland cement in the back, right behind the wheel wells and that sum buck will launch like a Space shuttle!![:p]

Ever want to sell it Bring it to Corvallis Oregon home of the Beavers. I'm sure some crazed fan of the beavers would buy it.
Its in their colors.[8D]
Had some Clemson fans wanna do that today. Not ready to sell it.
I was working in a bakery in 1970 and our Sunday delivery truck was a 1969 El Camino with a 325 hp 396, th400 trans and a posi rear end. Boss once told me we need to send it to shop to get new rear tires. I got a 115 mph speeding ticket in it on a Sunday after delivering a sheet cake for the second time to Vets home in Yountville after the first one was splatterd all over the bed after i almost hit a dog and had to brake hard. Wink, wink. The CHP who stopped me, and gave me the ticket and a good butt chewing and did not arrest me.
If you would have went about another 500 miles, we could have taken it surf fishing tonight[;)] I love that car Gary. Man I would be proud to own it. I would just keep it if I were you, just because. Oakie
Gary, let me ask you a question about a car like this. Not what you payed, but what is the value on that car, in the condition it is in?. Looks pristine and my son, loves that color. Everything he has is orange. Oakie

Not many of the Monaco Orange (Hugger Orange )Caminos around since very few were made. This one has a bench seat column shift automatic. Mine has buckets and console. This one sold at Barrett Jackson No reserve in 2006. Mine had a frame off restoration 6 yrs ago.
Saw two tone Brown one on the side of road Rt 460 between Bedford & Roanoke Va. last week end Brown not normally my color but the colors on this looked really Nice reminded me of some of the original Ford A models and other Fords of that era this one was same body style as yours The best looking model they ever made. Yours is Sweet
