These are some I'm working on. Two are Mule deer antler and the other two are Elk. The first one is a 4 player that I will mount on wood. If the weather stays nice I will have it done in a couple days. My wife says no more sanding inside, I don't know why.[:D]

The 2 on the left are mule deer the other is Elk. All 3 of these will be 2 player boards.

A new thing that I've been making is cribbage boards made from Elk antler. The last Arts and Craft show I did I sold out of them by noon the first day. I get $30-$45 each.

if you make them to hold the cards and pegs I might be interested.
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

When you said boards I pictured checkers or chess. What's cribbage?

Cribbage is a card game that the players use pegs on the board to keep score. And yes Toolfogie I spent alot of off time onboard ship playing it. I'm working on a storage idea for the pegs.

Use that board you are mounting them on as the top of a box. Cut a rabbet so it can be the sliding top sorta like this...

Maybe a divider or two in the bottom for the pegs and cards.

Great idea, I bet they do sell out at the craft fairs!

I do most of the work with basic hand tools. I'm not that good at wood working Captfun, but it is an idea I'll look into.

I do have a rabbet plane, but making a good rabbet in end grain with one is a few skill levels higher than mine!
