Two civil liberties groups sued in federal court Wednesday to remove a picture of Jesus that has hung in a high school for more than 30 years.

The suit was filed on behalf of Harold Sklar and Jacqueline McKenzie, whose children attended or will attend the school.

The ACLU is America's worst enemy. Thirty years and now because of two people the school is under attack. It just makes me wonder where we are going in this country.

Why not just kick the ACLU out of America. They are a Commie organization anyway.

Put them on a secure, unihabited island and let them fend for themselves.

the ACLU has enormous funding from their donors. they go to small towns across america with their million dollar teams of lawyers and intimidate small school boards with threats of endless lawsuits. considering most small town school boards have very small budgets they cant afford to fight the lawsuits so they just cave in. the ACLU has it coming and they will get theirs.

I don't understand the big deal about having to have prayers, pictures of religious icons in schools. Why is it necessary?? How many people take algebra books to church?? I send my kids to school to get educated. They go to church to learn religion. I don't care what your religion is and I don't want to hear about it. Go to your church and say your prayers and I will go to mine. My kids go to school to get the best education they can.

Since there are around 500 religions in the world, why do you think yours is better than mine? best regards, Tom

Okie, I haven't wasted my time to read your links but what the hell does the 30 years have to do with anything?/ We had slaves here in Mississippi for hundreds of years to I guess length of time should make it riggt. Why don't we just start a new trend and hang a picture of Carl Marx in all churches. In 30 years it should be an established practice.

I do have one question: How do they really know who the picture is? Tom

That's not the same thing. You should really waste your time and check out the link. As a historical figure Car Marx can be studied in school Jesus can't. Why should two people offended by a photo bring down the mighty ACLU. What is the agenda .What is the importance.

Okie, I still won't waste my time with your links but I am in no way trying to pick some sort of fight. I think the ACLU (for the most part) shoud be hung by the NU##$. My personal belief is that religious nuts(fanatacs, zealots) or whatever are the most dangerous people on the face of the earth. I live in the bible belt and so do you. Just look at how acrimonious southern religion can get. Look at the middle east. Muslims cannot get along with anyone, even themselves. sort of like southern baptists.
As I said, I don't give a damn what your religion is and I don't want to hear about it. How many algebra books do you see in church? Surely we don't want to mix school with church!! Tom

PS What subject is your christ supposed to teach?? Do my kids have an option to opt in/out of this subject? If you don't like my religion are you going to strap a bomb to your * and blow up someone who doesn't believe as you do? if not why not? Aren't you a true believer? Tom

The ACLU is slowly methodically deliberately taking the away our rights under the guise of protecting the constitution . If I take an algebra book to Church they are not going to do a thing about it. Someday in the future they will out law religion . Their ultimate goal is transforming this country of ours into a type of socialist society. Maybe not in our life time but it will happen. Every little non issue case like this is how they will do. Religion will be hate speech and outlawed. If Islam doesn't take us first. That by the way is the link you won't waste your time on . So be it.
