    With the possible exception of Mark, I don't know if any of our members have had a shooting vacation in Europe.

    I don't believe that the Maral was ever imported to the US. It appears to be a "rich man's Schmidt Rubin" straight pull bolt action rifle. My guess would be that it is the closest you can get to a semi-auto rifle in some European countries.

    Unfortunately,it seems to be in French.Sorry.
    The action is shown,none the less.Looks to be a straight pull bolt gun that has the bolt spring loaded closed.Only a "pull" needed to load the next round.
    I would call it "The poor man's Blaser"
