Anyone know what kind of gun this is?

In the movie "The River Wild", Kevin Bacon carrys a .357 magnum, can anyone tell me what make and model this gun is.

In the movie Lord of War, what make and model revolver does Yuri Orlov sell Andre Baptiste Sr. He said it was a .357 magnum with a 6" barrel. It think its a Smith & Wesson, it looks like a 686 but I am not sure, can anyone tell me the make and model. Thanks.

I thought that it appeared to be a 686 or some variation but I could be wrong.
