Another gun site has hit the dust

I was saden to find that surplusrifle will be shutting down as of March 30th, 2007. According to Jamie Mangrum there is nothing that anybody can do to keep the site up. It is not a matter of money but time. It seems that keeping up the site is too taxing to do and he is going to have to stop. [:(] Its too bad I always love checking out their projects and getting information. I guess I will have to access all the information before it goes away. Thanks for the help.

Aw RATS! That is a GREAT site! Gents- if any of you shoot any of the Milsurp rifles- Nagants, SMLEs, K-31s, Mausers, or US anything- better get over there and do some file save-as work pronto. Anyone that is a computer buff, has the time, and would like a great hobby, offer to help the site. [:0]

....He's selling two CD roms with everything that's ever been on the site. For $5 ea, it's a heck of a bargain. The re-assembly tutorials alone are well worth it. $14 for the pair with shipping. Good deal.

Jamie had to shut the website down due to his battle with cancer, say a prayer for him please. JonesBoy is going to keep the forum side up and running.
The CD's have info you won't find anywhere else, and the "how to's" are worth way more than the price of the CD's!

I just ordered both CDs as well. Given that a CD costs a few pennies, I hope that everyone here would buy them and let the profits go to help him and his family.

Yes, knowing it was going to help him was a deciding factor also, but just to put it in perspective here for folks that may not know what you get for a measly $14:
