this is a 327 chevy engine.
i found this number on the engine pad behind the alternator(TIOIOHA,or it could be T1010HA. i know there is a website to find this info, but i cant find it.
any help appreciated

T = Tonawanda plant (NY)
1010 = October 10th
HA = 327 3 speed transmission
There are also ID numbers under the valve covers stating the month/year of the heads and type of head. Do the heads have camel humps on the front? If so these are desireable high performance heads usually 2.02" intake valve and 1.60" exhaust.
Also look behind the distributor where the transmission connects. There will be codes there too to date the block ect.
If you know someone with a chiltons manual from that era that will be all the help you need.
