Thanks for sharing!!
nice pics as said bee careful, Anaphylactic shock is not a joke. More people die of bee stings than snake bites in the US each year.

Just picked up a new Epipen earlier today. Figured with the outdoor festivities going on, it might the good to have a new one.
Telephoto lens
Canon T3i body with Canon 55-250mm lens.....I shot several pics from different distances/settings etc.
I do keep an Epipen nearby when out and about....Just in case !!
Thst one won't hurt you.I think it's one of the bumble bees that doesn't sting.(don't grab it to find out though) Seen them with that bald spot before and was told they don't sting.I might look into that..[:I]

Wrong, that is a worker female and well equipped with a sting. They are not much inclined to sting however. I have had my hands in nests without being stung.
I love your photos. I hope you are compiling them in some fashion for easy perusal.
I keep most of my PIC on my computer and also have most stored off on outboard drives in case of a crash...a lot have been printed and hang in my make shift man cave till I get the other one finished....[:)]
The carpenter bee female can sting, male can't. But I can't tell the difference anyhow.
Since I saw those traps a few weeks ago, and built a couple, I haven't seen carpenter bees around much and the trap didn't catch any. Before that they were swarming all over my shed and sawdust was falling like rain.
