The reason Mayberry was so peaceful and quiet was because hardly nobody was married. Andy, Aunt Bea, Barney, Floyd, Howard, Goober, Gomer, Sam, Earnest T Bass, Helen, Thelma Lou, Clara and, of course, Opie were all single. The only married person was Otis, and he stayed drunk.

Aunt Bea actually moved to Siler City NC when she retired where she was known as a not pleasant to be around old biddy with a house full of cats. Andy lived on the coast at Manteo, same thing, a flaming libtard.
