Anybody speak Latin?

I bought a beautiful old Alex Henry rifle on a Martini type action, in .300 Rook.
On top of the buttstock, right behind the action, there is a small brass shield (about 1/2" x 3/4") that is engraved with a crest and the words ACITE PRO VIRIBUS.
I have tried a few on-line translators, and they all have a hard time with ACITE. They all kind of agree that PRO means "before" or "towards", and VIRIBUS means "strength" or "power".
My camera just can't get the detail of this little shield into a pic -- sorry. The crest is two arms with a drawn bow and arrow coming straight up out of a castle tower.
Any Classical scholars out there? (I certainly aint one)[:D]

I may have to borrow a jeweller's loupe to see for sure, but you might have nailed it!
I think that "Act According to your Strength" is a pretty cool family motto. Now if I can just find out what family this crest belongs to.
Maybe this rifle belonged to Royalty and is worth a fortune.[;)]
Thanks, wittnbear!!
