Pellet fired grill?
Been thinking about getting one and have heard a couple people rave about them.
Who has one and are they worth the considerable cost?
Arrivederci gigi

I've had a Traeger for 6 years and wouldn't go back to charcoal or propane when cooking at the house. Downside it need electricity.

Still have a little Weber and another small gas one for picnics

My son and daughter in law have one and they love it you can cook anything on it. More money than I want to pay for a grill.[:D]

I figured out about sixty seconds ago that they exist, after reading your reply![:D][:0]

I take it that they use the same pellets as a stove?

Saw my first one a couple of weeks ago. The vendor doing a demo. Cooks food really good. Says that it works like a convection oven. Claims that it won't burn the food.

    Here's the link

    http://www.traegergrills.com/

We have the "Texas" size. We mostly use the mesquite pellets, but have used the hickory and apple a few times.

Does a remarkable job on burgers, steaks, bacon, and you can smoke Turkeys, geese, etc.

We cook a ton of wild game burgers on it (elk, moose, deer, antelope) and they stay moist and don't cook so dry.

May not get your vote, but it gets ours.

PS. I would check and see if anyone locally handled the Treagers and sold the pellets, that may be a big cost factor there.
