Are you the one that waited all those years to replace one you had gotten rid of? Nice pistol btw. I would love to have a round but model 19 with a 4" tube on it
Have you considered switching to Hogue's in Pau Ferro?
My 686 looks outstanding sporting such.
that 442 looks just like my 642 but my 642 is not black.
If the model starts with the number "6", its stainless..thats why its not black like your 442

I like that pistol quite a bit James. Thanks for sharing
I had a buddy that had a RB 19 with a 4 inch barrel, I had never seen one before, looks kinda strange! But it was a great shooter, just like em all!

well the 2 1/2 inch came in a rb from what I understand. I was just going to buy one of those, send it to smith and have them put a 4" tube on it. If your buddy wants to sell though

Thanks.
I still have the originals, but the FG pau ferro fits my hand much better.
BTW,
You have quite a nice looking collection of Smifs.[;)]

Thanks, I would like to get many more, but nice examples are getting fairly hard to find without breaking the bank.
quote:He sold it last year, I thought about buying it. From what he talked like, it came from the factory like that, I don't know for sure, I thought that they all were RB 2.5 like you said.
Just my luck lol. It may have been a "factory piece" smith has put out some pretty nice custom pieces over the years
I have a fondness for the K frame smith, I have a few of them myself. I need to post them on this thread I reckon!
please do!
That's nice. I don't have any S&W's, even before the boating accident.
Please post your collection..
