NATO used red lasers, Warsaw pact used green lasers. NVA and VC used green lasers.

I once heard green lasers put out a more visible line rather than just a dot.

I wasn't terrible impressed with the example.

Why limit it to one or the other? Mount em both on there.

I didnt know they used that many laser sights in the Vietnam war. That seems a little ahead of their time. Now red and green tracer are another story. What about orange tracers and the other colors that are out there.

i was thinking about changing my wording just because i knew i would get that kind of response out of you don. but I'm glade i didn't because then i would have missed out of a good laugh if i had done that. half the time that i send on this forum I'm laughing at some smartazz remark you made.

i have a a green pen laser . . . so far i estimate that on a dark night i can see it hit a hillside well over 2 clicks away

it is fairly large so i do not think it would be practical as a weapon mounted sight

You can buy green lasers much more powerful than a red laser.

Since it's a weapon....go with something that has dual use....targeting and blinding.

From my experience the green laser sights are more visible and more useful during day light. Red lasers are not as useful during daytime and are hard to locate when placed on a target. US military forces seem to prefer the green laser as the best all around laser sight.

    Just my two cents worth.
