My next door neighbor has a 2009 Road King

that he leaves parked, overnight, not 8' from the road.
I can't for the life of me figure out why it hasn't been stolen yet!!
In West Palm, it'd be gone the first night!! We have some kind of biker clubhouse on the nest block,"warlocks" i think it is. If one of those guys,or anyone with a low trailer just backed in next to it,put the kickstand up and laid it over, they could be GONE!! Not to mention they could be 600 miles away, before he ever knew it was gone!!!
I have told him 10 times,at least, to park it on my porch or patio,at least the lights would be on it...
I'm sure he has ins. on it,as the bank still owns most of it but,STILL...[B)]

DOn't get me wrong Dennis,He keeps it in a storage bay all week.Only brings it home on Sat. after work, to ride on Sun.
He'd he all f'd up if anything happened to it, i know it.
Just seems like he'd have a little more ,,,I dunno....
I wouldn't leave my MOPED out front overnight here,or anyplace else, if i had a choice!!

Maybe they wouldn't steal a gang member's bike, but a weekend biker's motorcycle is fair game.

09 has an automatic alarm, soon as the owner gets so may feet away the alarm sets.

Still do not like parking mine where it can be seen except at work and there we have a roving guard. At home it gets put up as soon as I arrive unless I'm going to work on it.

Sounds like he is careless or maybe wants it gone.

OK...so then the Outlaws chapter in FL that killed their own member and then took his mount must have been "just borrowing it"?

I couldn't tell you the last time the forks were locked on my roadglide. We went to eat the other night, parked beside two ultra's, they had their HD helmets, jackets, and oakleys laying on the seats. parking lot was about 75 yards away from the entrance, I thought that was rather ballsey.

hes either hoping it gets stolen to get out from under a payment he cant/doesnt want to pay; or he's dumber than a box of hammers. not knowing the guy, i cant make a fair assumption which.

the alarm wouldnt even slow a real thief down.

maybe real bikers wouldnt steal anothers ride, but a real thief would. wanna ballpark what a 09 road king would be worth parted out? 15 grand on a bad day and between clist and ebay it wouldnt take you two weeks to be rid of it.

There is a whole butt load of UN-REAL bikers out there
that would hook that sucker in a heart beat.
real bikers is a laughable term.
