    Some of those stories were pretty amazing. There was one MOH recipient that was a B-17 pilot. His plane all shot up, his co-pilot dead, he was severely wounded, so many crew members seriously wounded that they couldn't bail out. Finally limped the plane back to England on one engine, another on fire with a belly full of bombs. Unable to drop his load because the bomb racks were frozen. He successfully crash landed at a fighter base, after his bombadier woke him up because he passed out. It was just an amazing story, reminded me of the movie Memphis Belle.
