    Of course. That's always been the real reason behind the left's various ecological schemes (remember, "The Population Bomb?")

    It's a way for them to (try to) control the world and it's economy (and, as Algore found out, to make tens of millions of dollars off the suckers who believe the schemes.)

    People in general are already tired of "climate change" (i.e. "weather,") so the left will have to come up with something new sooner or later - and there will always be stupid fools to fall for it.

    The environmental nazi movement has all along been about wealth redistribution. Not only redistribution to the 3rd world, but the enrichment of the power players such as Gore with his carbon credit boondoggle. It is the limousine liberal philosophy on steroids.
