Woman helping duck cross road was hit by car

COOPER CITY, Fla. (AP) _ A Broward County woman is in serious condition in the hospital after being hit by a car as she tried to help a duck cross the road.
The sheriff's office report says 44-year-old Laura Latuszynski of Weston was driving Sunday evening when she stopped to help the duck. Another car then struck her parked vehicle, then hit Latuszynski.
The driver was identified as 78-year-old Gladys Rudolfina Formaes of Davie. She was conscious after the accident and was listed in serious condition Monday at the hospital.
No charges have been filed. The accident is under investigation.
