Most of my yard equipment (John Deere X300 Lawn Tractor and Echo Trimmer, Edger, Blower) is less than 6 years old.

However, my Honda HR214PXA non-self-propelled Lawn Mower was 23 years old on April 21st; it still starts on the first pull and has never had anything replaced except the blade, rear bagger, air filter, sparkplug, and oil. I almost had a stroke when I paid $553.75 for it in 1989; but it has more than paid for itself!

If you can't feel the music; it's only pink noise!

    1990 John Deere LX-172
1990 Craftsman Push mower (Briggs and Stratton powered)
Troy Bilt "Pony" from '91 (Before they were bought by MTD with Tecumseh power)
a Poulan and 2 Craftsman chainsaws from around that time (they were well used when I got them no idea actual year of mfg)
Homelite Backpack blower from '96 or so.

I have a Craftsman weedwhacker from 1990 that ran just fine until last year when the ethanol finally ate out the fuel line. Just have not gotten around to rebuilding the carb and putting new fuel line on. I replaced it with a TroyBilt that takes multiple implements (string trimmer, edger, hedge trimmer, mini tiller etc) That is a great tool. The mini tiller is great in the flower beds or weeding between rows in the vegetable garden!

I drive out of the way to get real gas for the 4 cycle and I only run the Tru-Fuel premix in my 2 cycles now... So much easier to make sure it is always fresh and no ethanol.

My Dad had a Troybuilt sulkey mower that lasted 30 + years. He only changed spark plug one time. Average use was about 10+ hours of mowing per week during mowing season. Dad died and we sold it back to the original dealer for what he paid for it originally. One super tough machine.

Found my lawnmower at the curb 11 years ago. Bought the weed wacker 6 years ago.
If I could poison all grass in the world I would, lawn mowing is the lamest chore in the world.
