No, not the football team......[:D]

We were making our way around the house this morning
cleaning windows when I found their nest/hive......

Or should I say they found me, first time I have been
stung since I was a teenager. Now I remember why
I run so far so fast at the site of bees/wasp, etc....

This was the top of the nest and there are more layers
that I will be digging up soon.....

One whole can of spray is empty with 3 more on standby....[;)]

Assuming the area around the hole is NOT a fire risk:
    Wait till near dark
Pour a cup of gasoline down the hole
    Wait 5 minutes before lighting

    Nope, just rhinotillexamania......[:D]

I dug up the rest of the nest and it was three "layers"
deep and 3 inches in diameter......

If you grew any of your own food, you'd know the value of those little guys over poison.
If they're not in a place with a lot of traffic, I leave them be. It appears these don't bother anyone until they're bothered.

I agree, however this particular tribe was less than 6 feet

This nest was completely buried? Yellow jackets are ground nesters, and I have never seen a nest that was not entered though a hole in the dirt.
