EXCERPT::::::::::::::::::
Costs also went up due to the increase in minimum wage and elimination of a J-1 visa program that allowed students from overseas to work in seafood processing, DeMatteis said in the statement.

    I was in Reedville Va for the week end. It is a fishing town, at one time a bustling center of activity. It has declined from 13 to 1 fish processors.

    GOVERNMENT again has proven itself to be the greatest destroyer of jobs on the planet.
    In the USA alone GOVERNMENT has escalated labors cost to where we can't compete, thus manufacturing jobs and other labor intensive jobs leave or automate.

    - Here are a few hidden GOVERNMENT mandates resulting in job loss:

    -- Unemployment insurance: Amount depends on location or number of employees.
    -- Workman's Comp: Depends again on number of employees and type of work
    -- Social Security: Corps must pay half
    -- Medicare: Corps must pay half
    -- Obamacare: Government forces those with 50 or more employees to pay for healthcare
    -- Minimum wage laws: GOVERNMENT tell business how much to pay
    -- FMLA: a GOVERNMENT sponsored vacation. Often abused and believe it or not DEMOCRATs want employees to pay for this leave. A 6-week paid vacation in addition to paid sick days and normal vacation.
