My apologies for peeing on your "flyover" thread.

They truly are impressive and it was nice of those guys to take their own time and money to do that for the crowd.

I just disagree with the guy that brought patriotism to the table.

The CD arrived, but I have only had time to watch the first part so far.

    Those pilots are GOOD!

Anyone in particular you want to get it next?

Not a big job just some small bolts. Also, is there anything that will stain aluminum black?

did not mean to ruin your thread by my knucklehead misunderstanding i apologise

serious question, looking at the web site, watching the vids to see how this thing works, it shows manually lowering the hammer, then engaging the thumb safety

what happens if you just flip up the thumb safety, i am comparing it to say a beretta decocking safety or likewise systems

While we were in St. Augustine last weekend I took a picture of a chain that they had in the 1800's that was stretched across the bay and pulled tight when enemy ship's came into the harbor to put holes in the ships and sink them. Have you ever seen chain like this? They said a blacksmith made it back in the 1800's. Is or was that possible back then?

Forge, finally got to the range today...I did clean up the guide rod a bit with a Drexel tool but the 18lb spring definitely did the trick! No new burrs or anything like that. Thanks for the help and to the others with the diagnosis. :)

I didn?t want to interfere with the other thread but I have a couple of questions. If I was to order a 1911 from you custom made. Who do you stamp as the maker, forgemonkey or something else? How long is a normal build time from receiving the order?

Do you know if they catch many Lake trout (Macks) through the ice on Blue Mesa reservoir during the winter, if so, any size to them?

I finally bought my 1911. Colt Gold Cup, National Match. Series 70.

One of the good old ones. Yep, pretty expensive. I've only shot about 200 rounds, but it hasn't missed a lick yet.

I was noting one of your posts on another thread, and was reminded by all the commas that, I believe, you said you use those to help with dyslexia. Was wondering if dyslexia ever poses a challenge for you in areas other than the written word, such as metal working?

I just now found the thread on donkeys and mules. I have heard some "Jake Clark" and Carl Jones stories. As I am sure you know, some seem unbelievable. I am also sure those stories were for the most part factual. While I personally can't deal with mules, I am always in awe of their athleticism and intelligence. My son worked up there for a while and guided for Jake one fall. He is a cow cop in G. Junction now. Maybe you will run into each other.

Now that zink has posted the pic, you can edit the original post to add the following and the pic will show up in your post.

(Just replace the beginning and the end with brackets.)

The black powder pistol is one of my favorites because i got that when i was at the lowest i have ever been. I will never get rid of that gun because it reminds me of what i can go through if i need to. Thanks again for present and the memory. Some things you can not put a price on.[:)] I really wish other people could get a grip on their life. Lifes to short to be so negative. I get down but mostly after hurting so bad for a few days. Then something will happen and pick me right back up.

You seem to be in the know as too these things. Are circular saw blades any good for making into knife blades? I have quite a few- some pretty thick and pretty old, ie., 1950's.

Your 45LC post reminded me of it.

I might have read about it. But I honestly can't remember.

What became of that .45ACP shoot off you did loading birdshot??

I might have read and commented on it in an earlier post. But i have no recollection.
