The highway's jammed with broken heroes on a last chance power drive
Everybody's out on the run tonight
but there's no place left to hide
Together Wendy we'll live with the sadness
I'll love you with all the madness in my soul
Someday girl I don't know when
we're gonna get to that place
Where we really want to go
and we'll walk in the sun
But till then tramps like us
baby we were born to run...

Nineteen forever.

SPRINGSTEEN RULES!!!

I remember when "Born to Run" was released and Springteens mug was on both "Time" and "Newsweek" magazines proclaimed as the "Saviour of Rock-N-Roll".
Let's just say his New Jersey flavor didn't do much for us in Houston in the 1970's. We thought he SUCKED.
I will admit that I liked some of his later stuff.

Gimme a friggin' break. Springsteen is even more of an 80's music black eye than John Cougar Mellancamp. I'd rather listen to disco.

Speaking of Mellancamp, I'm absolutely amazed that the writer of the song "Minutes to Memories" could later become a flaming Liberal socialist.
What happens to people when they become rich & famous? Too many drugs I suppose.

Not necessarily. I think they just get insulated and separated from the reality that faces the rest of us.
    Well, okay...Plus the drugs.
