During the Civil War, the Union sent about a dozen soldiers to AZ, to claim it for the North. The Confederacy sent about a dozen, to counter the claim. It was inevitable that they meet, and they did, near Picacho Peak. The Confederates suffered 3 killed, and no wounded. The Union suffered half of their troops wounded, but none killed. Then the Apaches, who had the right idea, ran everybody out, regardless of their dialect [:D].
