Most unusual animal you ever hunted?

What is the most unusual animal you have ever hunted and where at? I seen a guy an TV this morning hunting zebras. That seems like to me hunting a horse in the woods. Where is the sport in that? I have never hunted zebras so I am not sure where the fun is in it.

Corn Monkeys. Most have never heard of them or seen them. They are mostly nocturnal until the corn crop starts maturing and then they will feed up strong as long as the corn is there. They hibernate during the winter in brush piles or hollow logs. They are very skittish, blend in well, and quick as lightening. Farmers here use gord traps for them as well as welcome hunters. It takes a lot of patience and savy to get a shot on one as they are small and hard to hit. I use a .22 short hollow point for head shots to save as much meat as possible. They are totally vicious when cornered or wounded and can shred a hand or arm in a split second. They run in troops normally and can destroy a corn crop easily. Our farmers just hate them as they csn cost them their living when they get infested with them. Not bad eating but it takes a whole lot of them to make a mess for the grill. The tails are long an meaty and if prepared right can provide more meat than the body. They use this tail in defense/offence and it has the sharp impact of a snappy bullwhip. Very elusive to hunt and a true challenge.

saw a hunting show a while back where this guy was bow hunting wild cattle down in mexico. they said some of the bulls were born wild and had never seen a pen. id be very nervous bow hunting a 1000llb bull. [B)]

When I was a kid they use to give us 2 cents per rat that we would shoot at the grain elevator. Kept us supplied in 22 ammo

Africanized Blow Flies. 12 gauge #8 shot, got three of em' mounted on the wall. Aged them by the teeth at 24 years old. 2 feet tall by 3 feet wide with an 11 inch beard.

Marderhund (or Raccoon Dog) are showing up here more and more. An invasive species (import from Asia) they are trying hard to exterminate here and aren't having a whole lot of success. Saw my first one 7-8 years ago.
It's actually in the dog family, though it doesn't look much like it.

I have hunted deer, pheasant, duck, geese, coyote, fox, badger, rabbit, praire dog, goopher, mink, muskrat, ratcoon, mountain lion , bobcat, and probley a couple other critters that i cant remember off hand. Now these are ones that i have hunted and taken. I dont know if i would consider any of these unusual but i do have one thing that i havent hunted that i really want to. Bear, I was going to go one year and the father in law and i had set something up but wasnt in stone yet and then come to find out that the wife was pregnant and here due date was around the time we were suppose to go. Good thing i didnt go becouse i would haf missed something i could never have gotten back. but anyway i still plan some day to hunt bear.
