If you're looking at a "real truck", why are you considering a Ford?

I have a ford chevy dodge and saturn in my driveway. The dodge is parked due to dad but never ran great. I hate the chevy. The saturn has a new problem every time I Fix one, and the ford.. well she has 320k miles and a transmission that barely drives... yet shes probably the most reliable of them all. yep.

I'm just messing with ya. I'm sure the Ford will make a great truck for you.

Make sure you "google" negotiation and look at BATNA, and then stick to it!!!

They need to earn your business, if they don't make you happy... walk; they'll call.

I am a Chevy guy, but only because that is what I grew up driving and admiring. I like to rile feathers every once in a while. That is quite easy to do to some fellas. [:D]

Good luck on the truck Jake. I hope that you are doing well.

Jake, I still have my 1999 f250 super duty with 350,000 miles it. Love the truck. Mine is only 2 wheel drive with the 7.3 diesel but I can get 22 mpg with it. I'm looking at getting a newer one soon with the 6.7 diesel. Good luck

I have had good luck with Fords. I have 2 in the driveway now and they just keep starting. Remember when you are at the dealership, you are not buying a truck. They are buying your money. You can get a truck anywhere, but they can only get your money from you. Happy hunting!

Apparently you missed the "real truck" part.

I have had great luck with my 2002 7.3 Manual 6-speed F250 PSD, still stock. She just clicked over 28k a few days ago. It hasn't needed a repair yet. It has only been wet a few times as it sleeps in the garage.

BTW if you're thinking about a power stroke the 7.3 is the one to go with!

    I've got a 1999 F-350 , 7.3 with 139,000 and it's a tank. I'm pretty sure it could pull a house off of it's foundation. [:D]

I think that 7.3 Powerstrokes are the best Powerstrokes of the bunch. Just learn what a cam position sensor is, and how to change it.

Well, there certainly are other trucks, but they're all so vastly inferior that they may as well give up.
